Irish Distillers, a Pernod Ricard company, and producer of some of the world’s most successful Irish whiskeys, crafted in Midleton – the world’s Most Awarded International Distillery* – today reported a global net sales decline of -4% across its portfolio, in line with Pernod Ricard group performance, for its 2026 financial year (ending 30 June 2026), with improved results evident in the 2nd half of the year.
Jameson, the world’s bestselling and most awarded Irish whiskey**, delivered net sales growth of +9% across markets outside the US, demonstrating the brand’s continued ability to drive growth in mature and emerging markets, while the US spirits market continued to face soft market conditions.
India, the second largest market for Jameson, continued to accelerate during the financial year while double-digit growth was recorded across the portfolio in multiple mature markets (including Global Travel Retail, Germany and Poland) and emerging markets (including Mexico, China and Nigeria).
Reflecting a successful execution of the brand’s portfolio strategy, global net sales of Jameson Black Barrel increased versus last financial year and sales of Jameson Triple Triple Chestnut Edition recorded double digit global net sales growth, driven by launch expansion into new markets.
Commenting on the results, Nodjame Fouad, CEO, Pernod Ricard’s Aged Spirits & Champagne Division said:
Irish Distillers’ full year 2026 financial results highlight the success of our long-term strategy to expand the global footprint of Jameson. This momentum is the result of a consistent approach to building the brand and reflects the appeal and relevance of Jameson with consumers in emerging markets, which continue to offer considerable growth potential.
While the US continues to face soft market conditions, our long-term confidence in this market is demonstrated by a series of significant recent investments, including a landmark partnership with the National Football League (NFL), making Jameson its Official Spirits Sponsor.
As we look ahead, we remain focused on continuing to bring the taste of Jameson and our broader Irish whiskey portfolio to more people around the world.
