When do applications open and close?

Applications for the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme open on Feb 1st 2025. Applications closed on March 31st 2025

What kind of Degree’s do you look for?

We are open to any Degrees but are particularly interested in people coming from a business, languages and marketing backgrounds. You should be a Level 8 or Level 9 Graduate, ready and available to start at the beginning of August 2025

What kind of languages do you look for?

We love people with a language as it really helps them hit the ground running in our different international markets. The languages we look for include Japanese, Mandarin, Spanish and Portuguese. If you don’t have a language, don’t worry. We have plenty of  Jameson International Brand Ambassadors who don’t speak a second language. Always be honest about your language capabilities in your application. We will interview at final stage in your language, so it’s best to be honest from the offset!

How long is the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme?

The Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme is an initial 13-month offering which 
typically includes a 3-week induction training programme in August followed by a 12-month market placement.
 After this initial 12-month market placement you may remain in your Year 1 placement or have the opportunity to rotate to a new market for an additional 12-months.

Where I will be based?

We currently have 60+ Brand Ambassadors based across the world. Some of our ambassadors are hired locally by Pernod Ricard, while others are hired out of Ireland. We have Jameson Brand Ambassadors and Irish Whiskey Brand Ambassadors in over 45 international markets across Europe, 
Asia, Latin America, North America and Africa. We are always looking to broaden our horizons & break into 
new markets and this is why we look for candidates with an international language and a passion for foreign cultures.

Will I be given responsibility from the start?

Yes! This is your opportunity to make your mark. You will work closely with your foreign based Jameson brand manager at our Pernod Ricard Market Companies and with the support of the Jameson International Brand Ambassador team in Ireland. You will need to be able to  use your initiative and be autonomous. With your managers support, you should carve your path.

Is a Driving Licence required?

Yes, all brand ambassador roles within Irish Distillers require a full, clean driving licence as a company car is one of the many perks in most international markets. The area / region you cover will vary depending on your market. Applicants must have their full clean driving licence at the time of application close on March 31st for their application to be considered.

Do I need an EU passport and Irish Social Security Number?

We do require an Irish PPS or social security number and an EU passport. This is needed so we can fulfill our eligibility criteria around sponsorship and visa applications to move our Jameson International Brand Ambassadors across the worlds. There can be significant delays at visa application stage, so it’s important to be transparent on this.

What does career progression look like with Irish Distillers?

Make an impression in your first year and you can apply to rotate to a new market in your second year. The Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme has launched many different careers in Irish Distillers in areas such as marketing, brand management, event management and other commercial roles. Several programme alumni work in Pernod Ricard affiliates in London, Milan, Paris, NYC, Sydney & Toronto post programme.

What sort of personal and professional development should I expect?

We look for well rounded, confident, charismatic and passionate personalities.  We’ll encourage and develop these attributes and broaden your skills in marketing, presentations, creative thinking, project management and entrepreneurship as part of our development programme ‘Distill Your Own Success’. As the world will be your campus, we will provide you with a strong foundation for an international marketing career.

Will I be given training prior to commencing my role?

In Irish Distillers our training and development programme is call ‘Distill Your Own Success’ this kicks off with a 3-week induction programme. This will give you a grounding in the Jameson brand and prepare you for the year ahead in your allocated market.

What does the application process look like?

There are five sections. You can save and continue as you move through the online application. The sections include some basic information, a section about your recent experience, some general questions around your motivations and aspirations and finally a section to upload your 2 minute video outlining why you want to be our next Jameson International Brand Ambassador. You can save your application as you go along and come back to it at a later date. If you’d prefer to prepare all the questions, we’d suggest you go through the full application and write out the questions that need a little more thought and preparation.  When it comes to language, honesty is the best policy. We’re looking for applicants who speak an international language at an intermediate or fluent level. We will interview in that language at end stage, so it’s best to be honest about your level !  Once you submit, you won’t be able to make edits!

What happens when I create a Workday account to apply?

When you create your account (using your email and password), a verification email will be sent to your inbox. This verification email link expires within 24 hours. If it expires, you’ll need to create an account again and resend the link. Don’t forget to check your Spam or Junk Mail folder, just in case the verification email lands there.

Round 1 – What will happen during the initial MS teams call with the Recruitment Team?

This is an inital chemistry call to understand your motivations, experience and suitability for the Programme. It is also an opportunity for you to ask whatever questions you may have.

Round 2 – Assessment Centre

The first-round assessment centre for our Brand Ambassador Programme will take place in April 2025 Candidates will be asked to prepare a short 1 minute presentation and will undergo group assessment and a interview with our recruitment teams.  HR and the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme Team who will determine your overall suitability for the role.

Round 3 – Personality Test

The first-round assessment centre for our Brand Ambassador Programme will take place in April 2025 Candidates will be asked to prepare a short 1 minute presentation and will undergo group assessment and a interview with our recruitment teams.  HR and the Jameson International Brand Ambassador Programme Team who will determine your overall suitability for the role.

When are offers made?

Offers normally go out early in July with a start date of the second week of August.
