Throughout my first year in the programme, I’ve been involved in many exciting projects in both the main production plant and the Micro Distillery.

During my rotation with the Domestic Operations team, I had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed brand companies like Absolut, along with third-party warehousing and distribution firms. This experience provided me with invaluable opportunities to connect with colleagues, suppliers, and customers both in person and online. It has equipped me with a solid foundation to tackle the diverse challenges and drive innovations within Irish Distillers, spanning beyond just Supply Chain operations.
I have recently joined the commissioning team for the new boiler house. The three new steam boilers being commissioned will replace the original boilers onsite, supplying steam to all brewing and distilling processes more efficiently. The successful installation of these boilers is one of the first steps in achieving carbon neutrality by 2026 at Midleton Distillery.
