Monday 28 th November 2016 – Irish Distillers, Ireland’s leading supplier of spirits and wines and producer of the world’s most well-known and successful Irish whiskeys, is calling on applicants to join the Jameson International Graduate Programme and realise their potential while helping grow one of Ireland’s best known brands. Jameson continues to spearhead the renaissance of the Irish whiskey category, with the brand reaching its 27 th year of consecutive growth, making it the most dynamic premium spirits segment globally.
This year Jameson is looking to recruit over 20 graduates for roles in markets such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain, China, Japan and Russia where they will have a unique opportunity to develop fundamental business leadership skills with a globally successful Irish brand, supported by Irish Distillers’ and Pernod Ricard’s international network. At present there are 75 graduates working in 42 global markets as part of the three-year Jameson International Brand Ambassador programme.
Sinéad D’Arcy, Jameson International Graduate Programme Manager said: “Jameson is the No. 1 Irish whiskey in the world with 27 years of consecutive growth. Our programme, established 25 years ago, has played a central role in this phenomenal growth story. We’re proud to offer Ireland’s best young graduates an experience like no other. With graduates in over 40 markets, the sun never sets on the Jameson International Graduate Programme. What starts in Dublin can take you anywhere from Kazakhstan to Korea or Dubai to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Whether you want experience with an emerging market, or in a developed market, our programme is for you.
“Since we launched in 1991 we have seen 34% of the 352 graduates who have come through the programme retained in Irish Distillers or the wider Pernod Ricard Group. This includes leadership figures such as Simon Fay, Irish Distillers International Marketing Director, who started the programme as a Jameson Brand Ambassador for South Africa in 1998. We’re looking for creative, self-starters that want to create their own future and make the most of global opportunities with global brands. We’re not hung up on academic qualifications, we want the right people to help tell our story our way. We’ll provide the support structures and resources for graduates to fulfil their potential and in return our graduates can kick start their career while helping to share an Irish success story with the world.
“We will be accepting applications from all graduates, with marks from pass to first class honours. Some of our best graduates have degrees below a 2.1. We are not only looking for people with business or marketing degrees; we are looking at people from all disciplines. Our graduates come from backgrounds as diverse as law, physiotherapy and computer science. What we look for is someone with a well-rounded and full college experience.”
Online applications are now open at www.jamesongraduateprogramme.com and close at 1pm Monday 16th January 2017.
